In this fast-paced, project-driven environment, you’ll track purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, resolve shipment issues, manage vendor relationships, oversee warehouse inventory practices, monitor receiving and guide the purchasing team in sourcing both everyday supplies and unique, custom goods. Your ability to coordinate across departments, maintain organized stock systems, and anticipate material needs will play a key role in keeping projects on schedule and ensuring a seamless flow of materials throughout the company.
LOCATION
This role will require on-site work at our NE Portland location.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will lead and oversee all purchasing activities ranging from stock materials to custom fabrication components.
- Research, source, and procure custom or specialty materials for unique projects and one-of-a-kind builds.
- Oversee all receiving operations, ensuring incoming materials are inspected, documented, and processed accurately.
- Ensure receiving and warehouse teams follow proper protocols for quality checks, inventory entry, and material organization.
- Maintain and mange monthly inventory and ensure its data is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with purchasing and production needs.
- Communicate with vendors & suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, and negotiate delivery timelines.
- Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring alignment with budgets, project requirements, and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales, engineers, and production teams to understand material requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information in company systems.
- Assist in identifying new suppliers or alternative materials that improve quality or cost efficiency.
- Resolve issues related to delivery delays, damaged shipments, incorrect orders, or material quality concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field preferred—or proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (manufacturing, fabrication, or graphics industry preferred).
- Experience overseeing warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, and material handling
- High computer proficiency with purchasing or ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills.
- Ability to research and source custom or hard-to-find materials.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially when addressing delivery issues, receiving discrepancies, or material quality concerns with a proactive mindset.
- Forklift certification or willingness to complete training (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of materials used in graphics, signage, or fabrication a plus.

COMPENSATION
The salary range is $90,000-95,000 annually, depending on experience.
